2021 PSBA/ PASA Leadership Conference and Equity Summit

The Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators (PASA) and PSBA will host a joint, multi-day conference at the end of October for school leaders from across the commonwealth. ASD is honored and excited to have staff present two sessions during this conference. District staff will lead the following sessions:

As a part of the multi-day conference, Dr. Lucretia Brown, Deputy Superintendent for Equity, Accountability and School Improvement, Melissa Reese, Communications Manager & Liam Goldrick Donovan Group (ASD Communication Partner) will present a session on Communicating in a Time of Change: Connecting to Stakeholders, Responding to Crisis.

Within the conference, a single day Equity Summit will focus on identifying equitable practices and and provide strategies for moving Pennsylvania schools toward systems that honor our students’ hopes, dreams and potential. ASD has emerged as a leader in its commitment and advancement of equity in our district. 

As a part of the Equity Summit within the conference, Dr. Brown will be joined by Melissa Smith, Executive Director of School Improvement to present: Equity and School Improvement: Addressing the Achievement Gap Through Governance and Leadership. This session will focus on embedding equity systematically into the structure of the district and will take place at noon, on Monday, October 25.


The PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference is an event for school directors, superintendents and other education leaders who are committed to professional growth for the benefit of their students and schools. This year the conference will be held virtually October 25-27, 2021.
