The Allentown School District would like to formally congratulate Mrs. Audrey Mathison & Mrs. Nancy Wilt who have been elected as the new President & Vice President of the Allentown School District Board of Directors!
Audrey Mathison was first elected to the board in 2015 and has previously served as both president and vice president. A retired educator, working with students has always been very important to her. She enjoys working together with all of the board members to improve the lives of our students by providing a high-quality educational experience. Ms. Mathison brings her expertise to the Negotiations Committee and also represents ASD on the LCTI JOC.
Nancy Wilt was first elected to the board in November 2019, where she served as co-chair of the education and policy committees. Mrs. Wilt has also represented ASD on the City Recreation Commission, and as the secretary for the Allentown School District Foundation Board. Mrs. Wilt previously served as board president for the last two years.
“Both Mrs. Mathison and Mrs. Wilt are veteran members of the board who bring a wealth of leadership and expertise,” said Acting Superintendent Dr. Carol D. Birks. “I am excited to partner with them in order to move the district forward and continue to serve the children & families in the Allentown School District. Congratulations!”
Both officers will serve a one-year term, which expires in December 2023.
