ASD Celebrates National Safe to Say Something Week

National Safe to Say Something Week
Posted on 03/14/2022

March 14 - March 18 is National Safe 2 Say Something Week, organized by the Sandy Hook Promise. ASD is excited to participate in this national week of awareness, which is focused on adults and students becoming more aware of each other’s well-being by creating an aligned and seamless system of social emotional learning curriculum, instruction, and programming.

During this week, we will focus on bringing greater awareness to saying something when we see each other struggling with a safety or wellness issue.

Schools and staff will engage students in educational learning opportunities during the week to celebrate and improve the culture and climate of our buildings to create a safer, more secure, inspirational, and nurturing environment for adults and students. Each day has a theme!

- Monday March 14 - Kick off & School Pledge Day - Promise to “Say Something”

- Tuesday, March 15 - Safe2Say Training Tuesday
-
Wednesday, March 16 - Wellness Wednesday
-
Thursday, March 17 - Stand Up / Speak Out - Bullying Prevention and Awareness
-
Friday, March 18 - Wear Orange to End Gun Violence - Partnership with the Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley

It is critical that we work together as families, staff, students, and a community to create a safe climate and culture in our schools. We are so excited to kick off this week of awareness and action!

We thank you for your support!
